Extension Practice for Writing Test!!! :)

CLOWNS GONE WILD

Rosie was eating breakfast when a news bulletin came on. “Breaking News!” Said the reporter, “We have some information that killer clowns are loose in the town of…” On the screen it said “We are having Some technical difficulties please stand by.” Rosie called to her father (His name was James) “ Popa, can you come down here a minute?” James made his way downstairs to see what was wrong. “What's wrong my sugar plum?” Asked James, “ The lady on the TV said there were killer clowns!!” Answered Rosie. “Where, did she say where Rosie?” “No, Popa. It cut out, look at the screen.” James look concerned at the screen. He look at Rosie, he had closed his eyes. Rosie had joined him in silence.
James look at Rosie and uttered “I will walk you to school, But I want you to take a knife.” “Yes Papa!” Rosie agreed with James. James knew he couldn’t do anything on the way home because he had to work. He walked to school with Rosie in silence. Rosie wanted to say something, but she changed her mind. When they arrived only three students were in class. (Their names were Jude, Johann and Jean. All boys.) Jean was Rosie’s best friend. They did everything together. Miss Mulligan called James outside
“ Did you hear about the clowns?” “Yes.” Replied James. “It's a shame that it's in our little town.” “WHAT!!” Shouted James in disbelief. “Did you not know? I'm very sorry i’m breaking the news to you, The news reporter is my sister she called me this morning before her broadcast and told me about it. Luckily me and the boys were already here preparing school. I had calls from the parents telling me they were not coming, I told them it was OK because they need to stay hidden.” “Ok, thanks for that Shirley.” (Shirley was Miss Mulligan's first name, all the parents called her by that name)
James walked inside and Rosie had gone. The backdoor was wide opened and two of the boys had gone too! Jude had sat behind the desk quietly crying. “Shirley, get in here!!” Yelled James. “Are you OK Jude?” Jude Replied with “I’m OK, But the clowns took them” Shirley had ran in when she saw no one was with them and the  kids were gone, she started to cry. Shirley paced the floor, she stopped and looked at James weirdly. She said “Who are you talking to James?” “Your son, Jude.” James answered  “Jude tell us what happened??” Shirley asked politely “Ok mum, I sat behind the desk because I was cold. Johann was playing a game with Rosie and Jean. The next time I look up the door was wide-opened and there was this note.” The note read “ Your kids will be fine, just as long as you do as we command, call this number if you wish to obey our commands.” Panicked faced, Shirley had dialled 111. They told the operator the story and gave them the number.
James had slept over at the school with Shirley and Jude. The next day, Shirley had got a call that the kids were safe and sound. James woke up to the excitement in Shirley's voice. “Are the kids alright?” Asked James. “Yes, we can go to the station and pick them up right now.” “Let's Go” Said James. When they arrived at the station Rosie, Jean and Johann ran up to give them all a hug. Everything turned out good in the end. The clowns were imprisoned. THE END

A Crack Down on Auckland Drivers

100 offices are roaming the streets today to crack down on Auckland's dangerous drivers. They are needed to put any mobile phones, wear seat belts and stay sober as they might be breath test today.
They will target all people who are using a mobile phone while driving, not wearing a seatbelt, running red lights and driving while drunk and while on drugs.
Police will spread to the high-risk areas throughout Auckland to look for the bad drivers.

Compare and contrast.

This is a compare and contrast map on the difference of  how my mum learnt and how I learnt.
I think that what my mum was taught when she was little is a little weird but also cool.

The Great Wonders of the World!!!

Have you ever watched around the world in eighty days? Well, I went around the world in twenty minutes. we had a Google Expedition. We used Google cardboard. (Picture will be put in somewhere)

David Attenborough was the first person we met. Some of the boys thought he was a girl. He was in the Borneo rain forest. Did you know that the Borneo rain forest has an estimated age of 130 million years, making in the oldest rain forest in the world

We also went to Buckingham Palace where the queen lives.  Did you know that there are 1514 doors, 760 windows and the windows get washed every 6 weeks. Also their are more than 350 clocks in Buckingham.

If you have ever been to Rome you would see the Colosseum. They use to have gladiator fights to the death. Did you know that there are 36 trapdoors to show off special effects.

I really liked using google cardboard and would like to use it again. After using it I felt dizzy and felt like puking but I didn’t puke. It also felt fun spinning on my bum and looking at the all the wonders of the world. If I could buy google cardboard for one dollar I would.

Extra for Experts

Term 4 Writing Test 2015

When Miss Hockly finished with the notices and showed us the timetable, I thought “What's fun time, it must be a test”. Mrs Tele’a came to the front of the team and explained what fun time was. She stated that fun time was going to be fun and not practicing for athletics or doing a test.

I was in Khaia, Quinlan, Alexis and Marilyn team. The first activity we did was pea pipes. This involved a bowl of green peas, a straw and another bowl, that was empty, at the other end. We had got a straw each picked up a pea and waited till our teammates shouted GO!! Miss Hockly was holding our bowls because when they were on the table the wind made them fall off. We were against room 1A and we were room 2A. Also 1A won.

Next we went to Fear Factor.  Me and Alexis had to eat a dry weetbix, I went first and it was really dry I was trying not to hack it back up. In the end I came second. When Alexis went she put all of it in her mouth and chewed till her teeth hurt.(Not really though). Khaia, Marilyn and Quinlan had to try to eat out of the can spaghetti and kiwi fruit in two minutes.

After that we had brain buster. We had to answer riddles and maths riddles. Miss Clark gave us a paper that had the riddle on it and we had to work it out. One of the maths riddles were really hard. It read, Use one to nine to fill these in. Only use each number once.

Last activity was photo booth with Mrs Tele’a.  We went to the green room and got ready and did a happy face. Then we went into the street and We took another happy selfie. Then Mrs Tele’a came and took a picture of us looking serious. After that I jumped on Khaias back and did a funny face. I love taking pictures. ( There are pictures below)

In the end I really enjoyed it and would like to do it again. I had a great time with a couple of my friends. Hopefully next year, at the beginning of the year before testing, we can do it again.
