Riding the Bike!

This story is about a boy called Antony. He faces his fear. Take a look and comment what you think.

“Motocross day” Yelled Anthony aloud. He could not wait for the day of today. He was a big fanatic about motocross. He was so excited!! Antony’s Dad Ashley said “Grab your gear than we will have to wait for Steve” “Ok Dad” Replied Anthony.

Steve came and they all went to the Motocross derby. They called the 15-18 yr olds. Anthony was in that category. His sister Vanessa said to him “Good luck but don’t break your leg” Anthony laughed and replied with “I will try to win for you guys”

“Three, Two, One GO!!!” yelled the referee. Off they went going around corner and up and down on the bumpy roads. The big jump was ahead an Antony was scared and nervous as he was ahead of the pack of motorcycles.

“Here it comes, Let's do this” Antony said determined to win. He closed his eyes as he jumped over. “Woo Hooo” Everyone yelled as he glided over the jumped, he opened his eyes to his amazement he had got over and crossed the finish line.

All his family raced over to see him. “We are so glad you won” exclaimed Antony's mum Victoria. He won a fake gold medal and 100 dollars. He could not believe it. That night he was very tired and glad he overcame his fears.

Hiwi the kiwi presented us with an opportunity to come and perform at our school yesterday. Mr and Mrs Minstrel came and performed for us. The Fish for the Future was the topic and we learned about how it's good to measure the fish, that you catch, make sure that it's the right measurement.  I learnt that we should always wear a lifejacket and also that we need to measure the fish.
